Everyone, meet Samuel Grae. He’s a bundle of blessings and more, and this Christmas he and his parents have only one fervent wish: that he be given the opportunity to live a long, normal and healthy life.
You see, baby Samuel Grae was born with congenital heart defects. Tests revealed that he has atrial septal defect (ASD) and patent ductus arteriosus (PDA), conditions wherein oxygen-rich blood leaks into the oxygen-poor blood chambers of the heart. He’s also been diagnosed with ventricular septal defect (VSD), a hole in the wall that separates the lower ventricles of the heart; and Aortic Isthmus Narrowing, where the aorta (the main artery of the human body that distributes oxygenated blood) abnormally narrows.
Samuel’s only hope for living a long, healthy life is open heart surgery. But right now, his heart is still too weak. Until the doctors determine that he’s strong enough for surgery, Samuel is on a steady dose of medication to control his blood pressure and help his lungs unload some liquid.
Samuel definitely needs our prayers, but his family also needs our financial assistance. Samuel Grae may need to be operated on soon, and his family will need a significant amount of money (open heart surgery has a seven-digit price tag!) to pay for the operation.
If you can spare a small amount to help baby Samuel, it would be much appreciated. Any amount will do, as every little bit counts.
If you wish to donate, you can visit Samuel Grae’s gofundme page, or contact 0933 982 2705 for details on where you can send your donations. You can also visit the Samuel Grae’s Heart Fund Facebook page for more information.
Christmas is the season of giving, and together we can give one beautiful baby boy the gift of a healthy heart, and his family the gift of joy and peace knowing that their son will be alright. So let’s give our hearts to Samuel Grae’s heart, and make this Christmas all the more meaningful.
“Whoever brings blessing will be enriched,
and one who waters will himself be watered.”
